In a separate incident of firing a man was killed by unknown assailants
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The police in the city of lights have conducted several operations in parts of Karachi on Monday and killed one dacoit, while another was arrested after being injured.
According to police, some dacoits were trying to flee after snatching mobile phone on New Town Stadium Road, but police arrived immediately at the scene and in an exchange of fire one of the dacoits was shot dead and the other was arrested.
In another operation, police arrested another dacoit from Awami Colony after an encounter. The dacoit was injured by the firing of police and weapon has been recovered from his possession. However, his partner remained successful to evade arrest. The injured dacoit was shifted to a nearby hospital for medical assistance
In an incident of shooting, a man was killed by the firing of unknown assailant in Shah Lateef Town area. The police assessed the incident is probably an outcome of old enmity. The deceased victim was identified as Muhammad Afzal.
