ANF seizes huge amount of narcotics in Balochistan's Mashkel

QUETTA (Dunya News) – The Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) claimed to have recovered stupendous amount of illicit drugs in the mountains of Balochsitan on Monday.
A joint operation of the Balochiostan's Frontier Constabulary and the ANF intelligence successfully recovered 820kg of opium from the far flung area of Mashkel, situated 530km away from Quetta. The stockpiled drugs were recovered from a hidden spot in the area known as Gorinder Nala.
According to a ANF spokesperson, the authorities discarded 370kg of seized drugs up in the mountains due to lack of resources to bring those down to the station.
The suspects managed to flee while taking advantage of mountains after an exchange of fire with the LEAs. A case was registered under the Anti-Narcotics Act and the investigations have been launched, the spokesperson said.
