Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus says his team was denied floodlight practice before a night match against India, while other teams trained under lights. He vows to fight despite challenges
DELHI (Web Desk) - Namibia cricket team captain Gerhard Erasmus has expressed concern over the lack of floodlight practice ahead of their scheduled night match against India.
Speaking to the media, Erasmus said that despite the match being set for the evening, his team was not given an opportunity to train under floodlights.
He added that he was unsure of the reasons behind the decision. According to him, Indian players were able to practice twice under floodlights before the game.
Erasmus also pointed out that Canadian players were seen taking part in night training sessions, saying other teams appeared to be receiving more flexibility in their preparations.
He further stated that Namibia does not have strong infrastructure back home for regular floodlight matches, making such practice sessions even more important for his squad.

However, he stressed that despite these challenges, the team remains determined to fight for their country.
The captain added that many Namibian players are not accustomed to playing under floodlights and have rarely had opportunities to train at night, including during their current tour of India.
