Azhar Ali resigns from PCB duties, reportedly upset over Sarfraz Ahmed’s new role in cricket administration.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Test cricketer Azhar Ali has reportedly become upset over former captain Sarfraz Ahmed being assigned a role in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
According to sources, former captain Azhar Ali has decided to step away from his responsibilities with the PCB and has submitted his resignation.
Sarfraz Ahmed has been given new responsibilities within the PCB.
Azhar Ali was a member of the National Selection Committee and also headed the Youth Development program.
Sources suggest that Azhar Ali’s resignation may be linked to Sarfraz Ahmed’s entry into the PCB.
It is worth noting that Sarfraz Ahmed has been appointed in charge of the Pakistan Shaheens and the Pakistan Under-19 teams.
