PCB chief meets Rizwan, insists on unity in team

Says the nation expects strong performance from the team under the leadership of new captain
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stressed on unity in the team, calling it a key to success ahead of the white-ball series against Australia and Zimbabwe.
The PCB chief expressed it during a meeting with newly-appointed T20I and ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan and vice captain Salman Ali Agha.
He emphasised that playing united and fighting until the last ball is the key to success. “If the team performs cohesively, no one can defeat them,” he asserted.
Naqvi said that the nation expected strong performance from the team under the leadership of new captain during the Australia and Zimbabwe series. He highlighted that the Pakistani team consisted of talented professionals and expressed confidence that the team will perform excellently the upcoming series.
“Leading the white-ball team is an honour,” he told Rizwan and Agha during the meeting. He expressed his best wishes for the team.
Rizwan and Agha the PCB chairman for his trust in them. The captain stated that they were determined to deliver outstanding performances during the Australia and Zimbabwe tour and will strive to meet the nation's expectations.
Chief Operating Officer of PCB, Salman Nasir, was also present at the meeting.
The Pakistan skipper and other team players are set to depart for Australia today, October 29.
