(Web Desk) – The T20 World Cup match between India and Canada was abandoned owing to wet outfield at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida on Saturday.
The umpires took the decision to abandon the match after conducting an inspection at 11.30 am local time.
India had already qualified for the Super Eight stage from Group A with three wins from as many matches before this game. Canada were already knocked out before this dead rubber game.
A day earlier, Pakistan's T20 World Cup journey came to a shocking conclusion on Friday, with the team failing to qualify for the Super Eight stage of tournament.
Pakistan were knocked out the United States of America's game against Ireland was washed out due to rain. USA were awarded a point which was enough to propel them to the Super 8 stage from Group A.
