Adam Gilchrist names Pakistan among four favourite teams

Legendary cricketer Adam Gilchrist has named Pakistan among his four favourite teams in the upcoming ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, which is set to begin from October 5 in India.

The Australian cricket commentator revealed his favourite team in an interview with an Indian media outlet. He predicted that India, Pakistan, Australia, and England would qualify for the semi-final round of the world cup.

"I think India and Pakistan could feature in the semi-finals, Australia and England are another two teams," Gilchrist replied to a question

Highlighting the India’s recent performance in the Asia Cup 2023, he said the Team Blue was in great form.

However, Pakistan displayed exception performance in group stage matches and remained unbeaten. However, the team suffered back to back setbacks in Super Four stage when they were defeated by Sri Lanka India, throwing them out of the Asia Cup final race.

The former Australian skipper hoped that the Team Green would make efforts to make a strong comeback in the mega event.
