LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistani cricket fans have a reason to celebrate as their national cricket team captain, Babar Azam, is all set to play his 100th T20 international match today (Friday) in the Pakistan New Zealand T20I series.
The 26-year-old right-handed batsman has been a prolific performer in the shortest format of the game since making his debut against the West Indies in 2016.
Babar Azam is now the third Pakistani player to complete a century of T20I matches, after former captain Shoaib Malik who has played 123 and Mohammad Hafeez who has played 119 T20 international matches.
The Pakistani skipper's landmark moment will come in the first match of the T20I series against New Zealand, which will take place at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on Friday.
