Summary Gold prices extended gains for a fourth consecutive day in Pakistan, with 24-karat gold rising by Rs4,200 per tola amid higher international rates.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan on Monday, recording a significant increase for the fourth consecutive day as rates also climbed in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of 24-karat gold increased by Rs4,200 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs487,136 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also rose by Rs3,601, reaching Rs417,640.
The increase in domestic gold prices came as the precious metal strengthened in the international market. Gold gained $42 per ounce, pushing its global price to $4,646 per ounce.
Gold prices in Pakistan generally track movements in the international bullion market as well as changes in the rupee-dollar exchange rate.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged. The price of silver stood at Rs7,379 per tola, with no increase recorded during the day.
The latest rise marks the fourth consecutive day of gains in gold prices, keeping the precious metal at elevated levels in both domestic and international markets.
