KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has registered modest gains as it began the new business week with positive momentum on Monday.
During intraday trading, the KSE-100 index gained 302.53 points to reach 171,707.01 points, reflecting a positive change of 0.78 percent compared to previous close of 171,404.48 points.
In previous session, the index on Friday closed bearish, losing 556.16 points, a negative change of 0.32 percent, to settle at 171,404.49 points compared to 171,960.65 points on the previous trading day, according to PSX data.
During the session, the ready market witnessed a trading volume of 797.528 million shares with a traded value of Rs 42.219 billion, against 950.146 million shares valuing Rs 54.075 billion in the previous session. Market capitalization declined to Rs 19.457 trillion from Rs 19.498 trillion a day earlier.
Out of 485 active companies in the ready market, 179 advanced, 260 declined, while 46 remained unchanged.
