Slams govt for selling PIA
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Monday that bad days of the government had started, stressing that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government had no future.
Speaking to reporters outside court before his hearing, the former federal minister lashed out at the government for selling the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). He said the rulers should bid their own properties instead of selling the national flag carrier.
He said the people were weighed down due to high inflation and ready to treat the government the way ‘it deserved”.
“The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) should prove if they had received even a single dollar. The government has got under the skin of China,” he added.
He said the people of Pakistan held huge regard for China, adding that the presidential elections of the United States of America (USA) would have a huge impact on the world.
The Awami Muslim League (AML) chief also censured the government for imposing taxes on property as, he claimed, the development work of the housing societies was stalled.
