World Bank delays approval of $1.1billion loan for Pakistan
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – World Bank on Wednesday delayed the approval of two loans worth $1.1billion for Pakistan until the next fiscal year.
The Bank had earlier earmarked $450million for reliable economy and $600million in energy debt and tariffs. However, the approval has been pending since June. On the other hand, the lender has also opposed imposing “flood levy” on imports.

Spokesperson to the bank said the approval was expected in fiscal year 2024.
